Worst customer service. Went to go return my book that I read in a day and didn't have a need for anymore and was told that "this isn't a library." So, I went the professional route and let the manager know that her cashier was rude and that she needed to be corrected. This is after I cooled down and walked around a bit and definitely was not greeted by anybody at all. I stood close to the customer service desk just so somebody would acknowledge me and they didn't until I wanted to get a manager involved. Manager did not help the situation and correct her cashier so instead corporate is involved in order to correct the both of them. I will never waste money at this location again, and I do visit frequently. I will also make sure that corporate does a follow up with this store and it's employees/management.
Starbucks here owned by Barnes and Noble doesn't listen well. Asked for no ice, gave me ice. Asked for them to redo it.. Was told "well it's already made."
Although Mall of America itself is so laud I found a peaceful place to relax. Inside of book store is very quiet and food is so delightful. Especially Dawn is a sweet lady she was very helpful. Barnes and noble is a great place to stay. Give Dawn two thumbs up!
Our summer school program participated in the Summer Reading Program that gives school-aged children an opportunity to earn a free book. I am so thankful for this program! It makes our kids feel good about reading and gave them a chance to visit a bookstore to "purchase" their very own selected book. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thanks!
Employees seem to just stand around and chat and stare at you. The people working the register were really nice though. Other than this one young lady in particular who wasn't at the register at first but then kinda followed me around there and began to check people out. She has such a stank look on her face and a huge attitude. She was super rude when I asked her why the book was less expensive on the website, it was 49.99 online and 99.99 in store- a huge difference. She seemed like she was appalled that I'd even ask such a question because it's more work for them to get it to me in-store somehow. Which makes no sense, how is it more work in-store? All your doing is selling me the book. The worst Barnes and Noble location I've been to, everywhere else they've been wonderful especially the Ridgdale location. Save yourself the attitude and go elsewhere.
